Opportunities for 16–19 year-olds

Students entering the UTC’s Sixth Form will spend 60% of their time devoted to the technical curriculum and 40% to the core curriculum.

Students will be passionate about developing their engineering skills and hope to continue to excel within the field.

Students will participate in a range of enrichment activities to provide further work-related skills. These will include national Young Enterprise and Young Engineers programmes and competitions.

Our students will also undertake volunteering work during extracurricular sessions. This could include working with primary schools to promote science and engineering.

Our students will have:

  • Excellent technical skills developed in industry-type settings
  • Achieved to the highest level in relation to their potential
  • High aspirations for professional and career success
