Governence
South Bank UTC is part of South Bank Academies Trust. With a board of directors formed from senior figures from London South Bank University and industry, a great deal of expertise is brought to bear in supporting the UTC.
This expertise is designed to support and extend the UTC in line with LSBUs ambitions to make a substantial and sustained positive impact on the communities it serves.
The Trust provides central resource to add capacity to the UTC, for example through effective financial support. The Trust also holds the UTC to account through high expectations for all students.
The UTC is sister to University Academy of Engineering South Bank, an academy also specialist in engineering based in Walworth. Both institutions share expertise and capacity in order to offer the best possible education to young people in South London.

Our School Advisory Board reports in to the South Bank Academies Trust board of Directors.
The board is represented by members from London South Bank University, Lambeth Council, Skanska, King’s College NHS Trust, Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Trust, Parents as well as a former secondary headteacher.
