Healthcare is bigger than you think. There are 350 different NHS careers, ranging from Doctors, Nurses and Midwives to Physios, Educators, Engineers and Technicians, not to mention the many other jobs in the wider health and health tech sectors. Our Health curriculum is designed to set students up with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue their dream career and make a real difference to the world.
We offer opportunities that traditional schools can’t.
Facilities. We are STEM focused, meaning students have the chance to learn scientific theory alongside practical and hands on work in advanced labs and health-specific teaching suites.
Employer sponsorship. We are sponsored by two NHS trusts, giving our students opportunities for work experience, placements and access to real healthcare environments with real health professionals. Our sponsors work with us to design and deliver projects that give students hands-on experience with solving real world problems. This practical approach to learning and experience of the work place gives our students the edge.
University sponsorship. We are proud to be part of the LSBU Group. London South Bank University has trained half of all Nurses in London. Our students will have the opportunity to be interviewed and offered places in Year 12 to oversubscribed health degree courses at the University. This unique opportunity puts our students ahead of others.
Curriculum Overview
By picking our Health specialist curriculum, students have the chance to learn in both an academic and practical environment. They will study science-based A Levels or a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, giving them a range of knowledge and skills that can be used in work or further study. The curriculum is supplemented with a wide range of further opportunities to develop employability, skills, expertise and prospects.
